10 years already!

La Grange d’Ychippe was first and foremost a story of passion, a return to childhood memories and the discovery of a magnificent region.
Over the last 10 years, Thomas and I have had the pleasure of serving thousands of tourists from the 4 corners of Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Denmark, Martinique and Reunion Island. The desire to help you discover our region, but also to offer you a sincere welcome that respects our environment, has been the driving force behind our approach. The success, the encounters, the smiles, the thanks and the wonderful anecdotes have given us energy to spare.

A number of birthdays, stag and hen parties and wedding extensions were celebrated. Heartbreaks and sores were healed, and babies were conceived. Parents have travelled to accompany their children to university. Groups of people have come to enjoy their holidays in safe space or to find a warm and secure haven during confinement. Wonderful and meaningful community projects were born, yoga classes were held, a play was rehearsed, dogs were rescued, jewellery and wicker baskets were created and a pataphonic accordion concert tugged at our ears. Others laughed about their student days and hazing, got their totem pole and sang the night away around the brazier. Thousands of children came back enchanted from the plain at the end of the world and left the lodge saddened. Some children were lucky enough to experience their only holiday of the year, and many took wonderful gifts home with them.
In other words, our gîte is an exceptional memory-making machine. And running a gite means being the privileged spectators of these slices of life.
